Just like the profile states, Art Unit is the experimental noise group that consists mainly of Tony and Eric's creativity. Tony and Eric put a lot of thought into creating these sounds from scratch instead of using the already made effects on the analog machine, they decided to make custom ones. That is where the true creativity lies. For those who don't understand, that's fine. Some people are not into sound. I personally have developed a greater appreciation for sound after hearing certain artist like Lovely Midget, Birchville Cat Motel, Merzbow and Masonna.

- Art Unit consists of Tony, Eric and Dina. Our purpose is to combine our passion for art, music and sound into some type of career (eventually). Right now it seems as if we are making baby steps but we eventually hope to maintain some type of underground success. Why not mainstream some would ask. Well because the mainstream does not allow artist to create art that is true to them. Instead your creations are based on what sells to the general audience. Because of this, we have no desire to attract that type of audience that gives into trends rather than appreciate the creativity of that particular artist. A good example of this is the current mainstream music culture. Once a fad or trend goes out of style, the group is denounced as a one hit wonder but there are still fans in the underground world that continuously show love for that particular group. That is the type of fan base we want with our projects.
